01 · Soundcheck

First they learn a song.

One 30-minute lesson a week. Then a band of players their own age and level. Then a weekly rehearsal with a professional musician coaching it.

02 · Load-in

Then they load into a real club.

Every quarter our student bands play a real rock and roll venue. Ticketed doors. Backline. A banner behind them. Not a recital in a rented hall.

03 · Downbeat

Then somebody counts it in.

Ages 5 to adult. Guitar, bass, drums, voice, keys. Beginners get on the same stage as the kids who have been here five years.

04 · The point

“How to be on stage in front of a crowd.”

A parent, listing what her two sons actually learned here. Working with bandmates. Getting past artistic differences. And that.

Our school

A music lesson facility and an after-school rock and roll community center.

Students as young as 5 years of age to adults can learn to sing, play guitar, bass, drums, or keys, while interacting with their peers. All students have the opportunity to join a band, where they can learn to play with other musicians, learn classic and current songs, write original songs, and perform at real rock and roll venues.

All of our students have an all-access pass to hang out in the lounge and play games, practice their instruments, jam with their peers, or do homework in our quiet area with Internet access. We also offer recording, rehearsal, and repair services at a reasonable price, open to anyone and everyone.

Students are inspired and motivated to practice when they see an exciting, reachable goal. So there is always a show on the calendar, and everything runs toward it.

I signed up my two sons, ages 6 & 8, at Let There be Rock School during their Grand Opening in 2019. We were immediate welcomed as part of the rock family. The teachers are extremely good at working with young students and tailoring their lessons to the age and level of each person. My boys advanced from private lessons to joining bands in a short period of time. The boys have learned how to work with their bandmates and overcome artistic difference of opinion, how to be on stage in front of a crowd, and my older son was accepted into advanced band when he got to jr. high.

It is exactly what we were looking for for my son. Not only does he get drum lessons, he performs in two bands there. This has taught him what it feels like to collaborate with a band and also perform in front of a live audience. That is not all, at other music schools they may offer lessons and performance packages but Let There Be Rock lets the kids come in and practice on the music equipment anytime they like. They can come after school, they have a homework area. They can just hang out and play air hockey.

I've been with LTBRSFV for almost 3 years now and it is truly not your average music school! We are family here and I always look forward to coming to my lessons, band practices and recordings! The owner, Jeremy Whiteley, is one of the most kind-hearted people I've ever known. The music instructors are awesome and professional too!!

This is a wonderful place where kids and teens are free to be themselves. The owner and staff are friendly and professional musicians who know how to train future rockstars. They also go above and beyond music to foster a supportive social atmosphere where the students are encouraged to make friends and have fun. I give them all the stars.

this is an awesome place to connect with a community of like-minded musicians. Everyone supports you towards whatever goal you have in your artistic journey. Eddie is an awesome teacher, super passionate, patient, knowledgeable, and experienced. Jeremy is an awesome manager, he always make sure that you are comfortable with your schedule and helps you out whenever you need it.

My son had been taking virtual lessons for over a year and we recently made the switch to in-person at LTBRS, and it was the best decision! He is learning so much from his new instructor and really gaining some confidence in his natural ability. It is a great laid-back atmosphere for teenagers and there is no pressure to be perfect. Rock On!

LTBRS Rocks! The staff here is top notch and they have created an excellent family environment for aspiring musicians of all ages at an excellent value! It's not just a place to learn your craft, it's a Community Center for Rock! Our Son attended another Rock School in the area but after touring Let There Be Rock, he knew he found a new home.
