Jacob Ortiz

Teaches Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, and Recording

Jacob has been singing and playing guitar and bass for over a decade. He has worked within the music industry for the last 6 years as a session and touring musician, songwriter, producer, content creator, and music instructor.

For vocals, Jacob developed his singing voice and vocal instruction methodology after working with Brett Manning (vocal coach for Paramore, Red, etc.) and Thomas Appell (vocal coach for The Offspring, Saosin, etc.). For all other instruments, he began playing in church in high school, where he learned rudiments and essentials from fellow musicians, which he applies in his lessons, alongside our provided curriculum.

Jacob's passion for music and helping others is reflected in his teaching style, paired as well with a patient and down-to-earth approach to instruction.

Teaches Drums

Jackson was previously a student at Let There Be Rock School during his formative years, and his lessons here helped form him into the multi-talented musician he is today! Jackson is 22 and has played for countless rock, metal, worship, pop, and country artists.

He is also the frontman for his own rock band I TO I. Jackson is a great teacher who is not only always seeking to grow, but is also able to relate to younger students and help them improve and sharpen their skills behind the drum kit!

Come meet them.

Take a tour, sit in on a lesson, watch a band rehearsal. Lesson hours are Monday to Friday, 2PM to 9PM.
